Robert Briggs, word-jazz specialist on the Beats, gave a performance of his "My Own Atom Bomb" last night, which I recorded. It is a rumination on the nature of the 1950s, the Beats, and his life, seen through the prism of his personal experience witnessing an atomic bomb test while in the U.S. Army.
